Using the Same Circuit Connection
- Principle: Connecting interconnected smoke alarms to the same circuit means they share the same power supply path. When one of the smoke alarms detects smoke triggering an alarm,the generated electrical signal can be quickly transmitted to other connected alarms through the same circuit,achieving synchronous alarm.
- Advantages: This method of wiring is relatively simple and cost-effective,as only one power supply line and signal transmission line need to be laid,reducing construction difficulty and material costs. Meanwhile,due to the use of the same power source,the power supply is relatively stable. As long as the circuit is powered normally,all connected smoke alarms can work properly.
- Applicable scenarios: Suitable for small places with high cost control requirements and relatively simple building structures,such as small apartments,ordinary residences,etc.
Do Not Use the Same Circuit Connection
- Principle: Even if they are not on the same circuit,smoke alarms can be interconnected through wireless communication technology (such as RF signals,ZigBee,etc.) or specialized signal transmission lines (independent of the power circuit). When a smoke alarm detects smoke,it will send the alarm information to other connected alarms through wireless or wired signals,triggering them to alarm simultaneously.
- Advantages: It does not rely on the same circuit,avoiding the risk of the entire smoke alarm system failing due to a circuit failure,and improving the reliability and stability of the system. In addition,in some complex building structures,wireless connection methods can more flexibly install smoke alarms without being limited by circuit layout.
- Applicable scenarios: Suitable for large buildings,commercial venues,industrial plants and other places with high fire safety requirements and complex building structures,which may require more flexible and reliable smoke alarm systems.
